Description

Regional Meeting Hosted by the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education & Valdosta State University Overview Join the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and Valdosta State University, as we discuss the barriers to and through higher education for South Georgia students and tackle the challenges of improving the education and workforce pipeline. This event is FREE, but please register, as seating is limited. What? An opportunity for community leaders to see and hear new region-specific data, new analyses, and new strategies for strengthening your education and workforce pipelines. Why? As a community leader, you will have the chance to listen to current data and research that focuses on the academic and nonacademic challenges that impact students' access to and persistence through higher education in South Georgia. You will have the opportunity to network with other employers, school districts, community leaders and nonprofit organizations and share best practices for addressing barriers to and through higher education and into the workforce for your future generations. COVID-19 Protocols The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear face coverings when indoors in areas of high or substantial transmission. The University System of Georgia encourages everyone wear masks or face coverings inside campus facilities, and they are required on all campus shuttles and inside Student Health Services. In addition, unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to maintain physical distance from others when possible. Working toward informed, data-based decision-making for all students in Georgia for 27 years.
