Hello local community, I am a woman in my late 20s. I am planning to go to graduate school in the next year or so and am trying to think of creative ways to lower my rent while back in school. I grew up in Aptos and went to UC Berkeley for my BA in Sociology. I am living back in Aptos now and love the area. I currently work remotely. I have years of experience with house sitting, pet care, and property care. I thought I would reach out to the local community to see if you or anyone you know of might need longterm housesitting or property care in exchange for a place for me to live during graduate school. Perhaps someone has a vacation home and needs a caretaker to live there and oversee it. I would love to minimize my debt while in grad school.
