POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ –Alzheimer's New Jersey, a non-profit that offers education and support to New Jersey families battling Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, is hosting a charity walk on Saturday, Sept.25 in Point Pleasant Beach. The Walk to Fight Alzheimer's is for people of all ages and backgrounds and raises funds for the organization's education and support programs benefiting New Jersey residents. These programs include family support groups, community education programs, a toll-free telephone Helpline, the Respite Care and Wellness Program, and their Clinical Trial Connections programs. The walk will start at 10 a.m. on the corner of Arnold and Baltimore Avenues, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m, followed by a kick-off ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Individuals, families, local businesses, and organizations are invited to participate by registering or donating online. There is no registration fee, and walkers will receive a promotional tote bag, and walkers who raise $50 or more will receive a complimentary event T-shirt.
