Press release from the City of Waukee: August 16, 2021 On Aug. 12, 2021, the City of Waukee hosted a blood drive in partnership with LifeServe Blood Center. Donors consisted mostly of City staff and elected officials, but community members also made an impact. There were 17 eligible donors who participated and donated 17 units of blood. This included two first-time blood donors.
