BOULDER, CO — As thousands of students move onto the University of Colorado Boulder campus throughout August, planning for some family-friendly community events is underway.
"Attendance is open to the public," university official said in a news release. "CU Boulder affiliation is not required."

More than 8,000 undergraduate students are attending in-person orientation sessions until Aug. 29, university officials said.
Planning for a variety of events for students is also underway — from Spirit Night to the WelcomeFest concert. Students and families can learn more on the CU Boulder Fall Welcome website.
