Visit a number of buildings in the Morristown Historic District to learn about their architecture and history. Tour guide Carol Barkin will lead a tour of downtown Morristown, highlighting a number of civil, commercial and residential buildings that remain from the town's 300 year history. Buildings include a home from the 18th century, the Federal style 1827 Morris County courthouse, and Gilded Age mansions from the early 20th century. Ms. Barkin is a member of the Morristown Historic Preservation Commission, as well as a tour guide for the Morris County Tourism Bureau. The Morris County Tourism Bureau (MCTB) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit destination marketing organization that positively affects the economy of Morris County by promoting the area’s exceptional historic, cultural and recreational opportunities by providing services to residents, business travelers and tourists.
