HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Growing its technology platforms, student achievement, special education offerings and diversity districtwide, are among some of the benchmarks Hackettstown Public Schools Superintendent David C. Mango said the district is striving to attain by the end of this coming June. In the goal list that Mango posted to the district's website, along with Business Administrator and Board Secretary Timothy Havlusch, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Debra Grigoletti and Director of Special Services Kevin O'Leary, are: The district plans to update PK-8 media center facilities, with a focus on offering more STEAM and CTE programs.Hackettstown Public Schools strives to catch up on student achievements, following a downturn in standards-based assessments and other metrics because of COVID-19.The district would like to build programs and services within the its special education sector.Hackettstown Public Schools plans to grow cultural diversity and awareness within the district.The district plans to review air quality within the schools, with a focus at the Middle and High Schools, as part of the Long Range Facility Plan.
