FREEHOLD, NJ — The Latino Festival of Monmouth County is celebrating its 16th anniversary season on Sept. 18, in Freehold. The one-day festivity recognizes the Latino heritage and pride. It also seeks to celebrate and educate about diversity and history. There will be live performances, Latin music, Hispanic food and entertainment and giveaways. Around 5,000 people are reached annually, according to the event's website. After a year of pandemic, organizers are planning to come back stronger. "We want to do everything possible to safeguard public health, and we are confident that we will return even stronger this year," a statement of the event's website reads. "We look forward to carrying on relationships with our community artists, musicians, nonprofit organizations, vendors and professional service providers." The event will run from noon to 7 p.m., at the Hall of Records, at 1 E. Main Street. For more information, visit this website.
