MILL VALLEY, CA — A Marin arts event scheduled for later this month has been moved to an outdoor venue amid coronavirus concerns, an event organizer told Patch. The Aug. 29 Sunday Salon Celebrating Women event presented by O'Hanlon Center for the Arts was originally scheduled to be held at the Mill Valley arts center. The event was moved to the Amphitheater in Old Mill Park (below the Mill Valley Public Library) at 375 Throckmorton Ave. in Mill Valley. The event's start time was moved from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The social hour was cancelled. The move was precipitated by concerns over the coronavirus amid a case surge driven by the highly contagious delta variant, OHCA Executive Director Erma Murphy said. Attendees are required to be vaccinated and wear masks. The vaccine requirement will be enforced through an honor system, Murphy said.
