MOORESVILLE, NC — The Festival of Food Trucks is set to return to Downtown Mooresville soon, offering the hungry an array of food options, from donuts and tacos to Philly cheese steaks, wings, and Vietnamese sandwiches. The monthly event runs from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on both Main Street and Broad Streets between Center Avenue and Moore Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 4. "It gets crowded so come early, bring a chair, bring a friend and hang out in Downtown Mooresville," organizers say. Here's a rundown of food trucks tentatively participating in the Sept. 4 event: Duck Donuts Dumpling Girls Hillbilly Philly KO Food Truck Mambo's on Ruedas Nana's Porch Ole Buddy's Oinker Express Sale's Roadside Eatery Sandwich Express Skyview 22 Food Truck SOBER Mobile Bar Taco Love Food Truck Wingz on Wheelz Yummi Bahn Mi The food truck festival, which wraps up in October, is one of several family-friendly events in downtown Mooresville in recent months. On Friday, Aug. 27, Mooresville area residents will have an opportunity to enjoy live music under the stars at the new Liberty Park Amphitheater. The Band of Oz is set to perform from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Concerts are free and open to the public. "Bring your blanket or chairs for the lawn seating and enjoy food trucks, activities, vendors and more at the Liberty Park Summer Concert Series," say organizers. Liberty Park is located at 255 East Iredell Avenue in Mooresville.
