Liddell and Antognetti will serve as academic coaches and student-athlete development coordinators. They will both be SAAC co-advisors. A former student-athlete, Liddell comes to UNCG from the University of Arkansas where he worked as a graduate assistant in academics and supported as a volunteer with student-athlete development. Antognetti arrives to Greensboro from the University of Maryland where he was an assistant athletic academic counselor. "I'm excited that Josh and Peter are joining Student-Athlete Support Services," said Kristin Rusboldt. "They bring a wealth of knowledge from their experiences as student-athletes and professionals. Josh has a great background in the professional atmosphere to help our students make the transition to life after sport. Peter has a passion for developing the individual student-athlete into a holistic experience. They bring tremendous value to our department and embody the traits of the Spartan Way that will enhance our student-athlete experience and prepare them for success in life." After playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018, Liddell transitioned into a professional career in collegiate athletics. Liddell now uses his experience to assist current student-athletes in the pursuit of their careers both in and away from their sport. Born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Liddell earned a bachelor's degree in Recreation & Sport Management in 2017 and later returned to school to earn a master's degree in Operations Management in 2021, both from the University of Arkansas. Antognetti will work with the baseball, softball, and men's golf teams. Additionally, he will spearhead student-athlete development initiatives focusing on Diversity & Intercultural Engagement, Community Engagement, Academic Workshop for Student-Athletes, and The Spiros Awards. During his time at Maryland, Antognetti provided individualized academic support to student-athletes across eight sports. He assisted with uTerp and Terp101 programs, which were designed to assist student-athletes transitioning to college life. Antognetti monitored study hall, assisted with new student orientation, collaborated with learning specialists, and checked NCAA continuing eligibility. Prior to Maryland, Antognetti worked at Virginia Commonwealth University where he was an academic advising graduate assistant and a teaching assistant. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society. During his career, he completed the NASBACenter for the Public Trust Ethical Leadership Program and passed the Division I Coaches Certification Recruiting Test for Institutional and Proctors. A diehard fan of the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, and all things college football, Antognetti, who is involved in the N4A mentorship program, earned his masters degree from VCU's Center of Sport Leadership. He was voted the Center for Sport Leadership Student of the Year. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire. He is an active member of the N4A and its mentor/mentee program. Outside of work, Antognetti loves spending time with his two pit bulls, checking out new coffee shops, and reading mystery books.
