DAVIDSON, NC — The Town of Davidson Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting Thursday to discuss the town's ongoing response to COVID-19. The special meeting was announced as Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners prepared to vote Wednesday afternoon on a recommendation that masks be required in all indoor public spaces.
A mandate requiring masks be worn indoors should be required throughout the county, according to the recommendation made Monday night by the Mecklenburg County COVID-19 Policy Group. The group consists of members representing the county, City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, MEDIC, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management, Atrium Health, Novant Health, as well as the towns of Pineville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mint Hill and Matthews.
