Hello! For rent, ½ of a ~40x15ft finished studio in the Hooper Mill in the Woodbery neighborhood of Baltimore. Very high ceilings and hardwood floors with white, pristine drywall walls. Four large overhead lights illuminate the space and your side would feature two ~15ft windows which open for ventilation and look out to a frisbee golf course in the woods of Druid Hill Park. The studio includes a finished bathroom with normal toilet, slop sink, and it's own small hot water heater (no shower). The space is heated in winter, and in the summer it runs between 75-78*F. There are secure locks on both the front door to the building as well as to the studio itself. Tenants also have access to a freight elevator which can be used with a key. You would be sharing the space with two other tenants: Both of us are pleasant and accommodating to work with. We are looking for someone with an artistic practice which is at least mostly non-mess forming, beyond that we welcome the breadth of creativity to the space. The other tenants of the building are very friendly and include local artists and business, some of whom have kept their spaces for many years. There are also a large number of networking opportunities available for the person who is so inclined. This space presents very professionally. Along with your application we hope for a work sample and a CV, references are suggested. Due to lease agreements with the building’s owners, any new tenants must purchase and maintain renter’s insurance on the space upon becoming a subletter. The rental price is $350/month
