Fleet and Equipment Coordinator
SUMMARY: Manages inventory of UtiliQuest assets to include vehicle and locating equipment assignments. Also manages location tools and supplies and orders new supplies as needed by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Keeps record of supplies in stock and supplies issued to technicians this will include paint, tools, batteries and many other items; a strong organizational background and computer skill set is necessary.
· Assigns trucks to technicians and supervisors. Contact point between UtiliQuest drivers and repair shops Coordinates operation and maintenance of equipment, storage facilities, and repair facilities.
· Issues locating equipment to new hires and spares for swap out of any damaged equipment.
· Maintain an equipment list for each employee.
· Maintain a tracking mechanism for repairs and replacements of trucks and locating equipment.
· Inspects supplies in stock to detect those requiring repair or cleaning. Orders paint, flags, batteries and miscellaneous supplies as needed.
· Inspects automotive equipment, scheduling needed repair or service work.
· Procures state required certificates of title and arranges for registrations and state inspections, this may be completed locally or in conjunction with the corporate fleet staff.
· Records expenses and analyzes purchase and repair costs. Performs vehicle inspections. Distribute and maintain gas cards.
· All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENT:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year of utility locating, automotive repair or repair management, or logistics experience.
· Ability to use a computer including the Google suite and the Microsoft suite (word, Excel, Powerpoint) is required. Ability to create and manipulate excel sheets.
· Ability to utilize a smart phone for app based inventory systems including pairing with external Bluetooth devices.
