The West End Museum run entirely by volunteers is looking for a volunteer greeter who will welcome visitors to the museum on Saturdays from 11AM to 2PM. The greeter will help us maintain a warm, friendly environment. Responsibilities include -Greeting visitors -Assist visitors in navigating the museum -Provide materials and handouts to visitors -Ask visitors to sign in and sign out -Handle the sale of museum merchandise and small donations Requirements: -Friendly and personable -Comfortable talking with visitors -Ability to use an I-pad -Must maintain a distance of 6' from all visitors and wear a mask (if you do not have a fitted mask the museum can provide one for you with advanced notice) About the West End Museum: We are a Boston neighborhood museum looking for people who are interested in the history and culture of Boston. The West End Museum is dedicated to the documentation and preservation of the former West End neighborhood’s cultural heritage. You can expect to find a casual environment of friendly men and women. Previous knowledge of the neighborhood is not required, but a general interest in history is recommended.
