PT Custodian Job Description Job Summary Trinity Baptist Church is looking to hire one part-time employee to work at both are main campus and our TriPoint Campus.. Responsibilities and Duties The Facilities Staff member is responsible for performing custodial duties, set-up of meeting, conference & events and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the facility is maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Some of the duties will include: Clean and maintain floor finish to hard surface floors Vacuum and shampoo carpets according to schedule or as necessitated Dust furniture, fixtures and shelving Wash walls, windows and equipment Clean and sanitize all restrooms and drinking fountains using established practices and procedure Collect and remove refuse from building, interior & exterior; change light bulbs as needed Prepare facilities for special use as requested by supervisor and assist when facilities and arrangements are needed for events Set up assembly for all events, to include but not limited to, moving furniture and set up tables and chairs for banquets, special meetings, and similar occasions; ability to lift up to 85 lbs. Prepare baptistery for use as directed and clean following use Open and close building as scheduled Load and unload supplies, material, equipment, and furniture from delivery trucks as needed Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. Lock and unlock doors: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights when room not in use Additional responsibilities requested by Facilities Manager, TriPoint Event's Coordinator, Church Administrator, Senior Pastor, or other key Trinity Staff personnel Qualifications and Skills Must have previous custodial experience. Must have an easy, outgoing personality. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends. (18 to 24 hours per week). Must have a clean criminal history and must be eligible to work in the US. This job could turn into FT if the employee does a great job and is interested in moving to FT.
