A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN As a Maintenance Technician for Dietz Property Group, you strive to ensure that our residents have a safe, and comfortable apartment and that they are happy with the level of service they receive. When a resident moves out, you take great pride in making it move-in ready for the next resident. You enjoy interacting with people and are known for being calm, friendly, responsive, and capable, you promptly address any concerns that arise in the apartments of current residents and make the appropriate handyman repairs. In addition to residents and coworkers, you communicate and coordinate with vendors and outside contractors on a regular basis. You are organized and keep good records, accurately documenting work performed on service requests as well as keeping tight inventory control of equipment and materials. Each shift brings a combination of daily checklists and unexpected surprises. You love that you are never bored! QUALIFICATION FOR A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Any experience in maintenance, construction, a skilled trade, home repair, or as a handyman would be highly desirable but we will train and mentor the right individual for a rewarding career in property management! Ability to frequently push or pull up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, and work in a variety of weather conditions Customer service skills Ability to be in the on-call rotation At least one year of prior experience in a maintenance tech role would be preferred but is not required. Are you mechanically inclined, reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently? Do you work well as part of a team? Are you efficient and able to prioritize tasks effectively?
