Summary: Looking for a kind and hard-working personal and executive assistant who is good at writing/typing, critical thinking, communicating with empathy, performing housekeeping duties, cooking, motivating others, and performing executive assistant tasks for the veteran who is the publisher of their publishing company, etc. The tasks are not all inclusive in this post. Hours: 2-3 hours per day Monday through Friday Location: 607 square foot apartment on a third floor with no elevator in the Foster/Powell district; exact address will be given after interview. Situation: The disabled veteran has both mental and physical disabilities who is a publisher of his new, small publishing company and who works at home. However, due to the symptoms of their mental health disabilities, they have been having a difficult time in taking care of their basic needs and in performing their business duties. Therefore, your job is to fulfill the role of both a personal assistant and executive assistant. Personal Assistant Duties: Help them with taking care of their basic needs, e.g., getting up, making their bed, cleaning laundry, picking up and taking out trash, cleaning the apartment, planning meals, making meals, etc. Therefore, the first order of business and the highest priority is to help him take care of these needs. Second, they need to exercise daily. You would help him by taking a walk around the block with them. During the walk, you and the veteran would talk about a variety of topics from the publishing business to life in general. In addition, you would need to perform exercises with them as a way to help keep them motivated. Third, you may be required to perform errands either with or without the veteran. Therefore, you will need your own vehicle and insurance. Executive Assistant Duties The veteran will need your help with their publishing company, which includes technical writing, critical thinking, researching, reading and comprehending laws and using them when helping him with completing the contracts for his clients and for others, interpersonal skills, marketing, etc. You may need to perform errands either with or without the veteran for these duties too.
