The following items are not all inclusive as other duties may be assigned: • Crime scene cleanup • Drug lab and meth lab testing and cleanup • Hoarding cleanup and psychological support services • Mold remediation and removal • Tear gas cleanup • Odor removal • Biohazard disinfection and decontamination, including many viruses Job Brief We are seeking a Technician who is hardworking, compassionate and has a strong desire to help families in need. As a Technician, you will provide crime scene, hoarding, mold, and drug lab cleanups. Be on-call 24/7 so that you can assist families whenever the need arises. You must also be willing to travel within the metro Atlanta area and along the I-75, I-575 and the 400 corridor. Spaulding Decon will provide all lodging accommodations if the need arises. While prior experience in construction, demolition, restoration, carpentry, and comparable industries are desired, it is not required. Applicants should have experience in the use of hand tools - saws, reciprocating saw, demo hammers as this job is both cleaning and demolition. Must be physically capable of moving furniture and equipment and working in the heat wearing PPE. • Solid work history and no criminal background required • Must live within 45 minutes of the office (Alpharetta) or meet at the job site in your own vehicle • Work may be during nights, weekends, and holidays • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted • Clean cut, drug-free, be able to pass a background check • No criminal history • Job will also include non hazmat cleaning, for example: painting, cleaning company vehicles, stocking and receiving supplies, and participating in community relations. • This job has no supervisory responsibilities; however, must be able to work independently. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully; an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Employees are required to be trained in properly cleaning and use of a respirator including fit checks in accordance with OSHA Respirator Standard 29 CFR 110.134 • This position requires the vaccination for Hepatitis B. Cost of vaccine is provided by employer if employee has not had the vaccination. • Employees are required to be trained per OSHA requirements in Bloodborne Pathogens. The cost of this training will be provided by company. • Knowledge of personal protective equipment found in 29 CFR1910.132 through 1910.138. Training will be provided by company. • Abide by all OSHA, DOH, and company safety rules and regulations. • Spaulding Decon Atlanta/ North Georgia training/orientation of Accident Prevention Program upon initial hire with annual refresher.
