UCSD Study: Help Us Better Understand Self-Awareness Are you an individual that has been clinically diagnosed (i.e. diagnosed by a mental health professional) with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder? UCSD’s Department of Psychiatry is looking for individuals who have been diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum illness or bipolar disorder to participate in a study on self-awareness. The study will involve two visits about a month apart and completion of daily surveys on a smartphone during the month between visits. You will be paid a maximum of $200 total for your participation in this study. At the study visits, we will ask you about your history and asked to perform various tasks and tell us whether you think you responded correctly (for example, answering questions about pictures of people). We will not ask you to change medications or any part of your treatment.
