Description
I'm a volunteer dog walker at the Wake County Shelter and wanted to post about this very special dog named "Sport" that is currently waiting at the shelter for a family to adopt him. Sport has been with us for several months and is starting to get depressed in his kennel. Sport is a very social dog and loves to be with people. He is not doing well being in a small cement kennel 24/7 with only 2 short walks a day. Sport is approximately 4 years old so he shouldn't have many puppy behaviors once out of the kennel. Outside he loves to go on long walks and splash in the doggy swimming pool and then do zoomies around the yard. Sport played nicely with female dogs in supervised doggy playgroups at the shelter.
Sport really needs out as soon as possible as he's starting to deteriorate in the kennel. When on walks, he will now bite at the leash which he never did before. A quick water bottle squirt gets him to stop, but I can tell he is anxious and needs to be in a home. I think Sport would do best in a calm environment where he can get exercise and rest in a quiet place. Please visit asap if you're interested in meeting Sport:
