Job Summary Seeking an experienced First mate on a traveling 100’ Yacht Fisher. Currently in Baja and Mexico’s West Coast. This Position is west coast based out of Newport Beach, CA. Candidate must have excellent offshore fishing skills, Diving and tender driving experience. First Mate will be responsible for running the deck and overseeing fishing and dive operations. This is a fulltime position on a Family orientated program and is busy non- charter boat which includes high end tournament fishing, Pelagic fishing, bottom fishing, Spear fishing, free diving and cruising the west coast of the Americas. Although this position does not require “Deck” certifications the candidate will be responsible for the operation of a 37’ center console so a Power Boat (PBL 1 or 2) Certification or equivalent will be needed. Looking for the true professional with commitment and experience for high an end clientele. Start date ASAP, salary D.O.E. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in the following: • Rigging and Tackle procurement • Offshore Fishing • Watchkeeping • Deck maintenance • Ability to keep a well-maintained deck • Lifeguarding • Keen eye for safety of everyone onboard • Privacy Required • American Passport • 5+ years’ experience • Mechanically inclined/hands-on experience highly desired. • Adaptable with a flexible schedule • Leadership and decision-making attitude. • Service-oriented • No drugs • No alcohol • No smoking Certifications • STCW • Medical Examiners or ENG1
