FULL-TIME FRESH FLOWER PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBER (Franklin Park) Everflora is an importer and distributor of Fresh Cut Flowers located in Franklin Park, IL We are NOT a flower shop. We make flower bouquets and process flower bunches and arrangements. We are looking for full-time staff and we also need part-time staff for our very busy floral production department. Duties include cutting flowers and putting in buckets of water, making bunches of flowers to specifications, making bouquets of flowers to specifications, organizing, and keeping the production work area clean and organized. You will be packing flowers in buckets of water and boxes. You will be filling buckets of treated water for flowers and pulling boxes of flowers from the floral coolers, checking the quality of the flowers, reporting problems to your supervisor. Other duties include printing labels for flowers and putting on flower sleeves, printing labels for vases and putting on the vases, making signs for the flowers and many other miscellaneous duties that are part of our floral department. If you do not have flower experience, you will be trained. The hours of the position are usually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and usually the department starts at 6:30 am and works until approximately 3:00 pm. Overtime hours are often required. We are very busy before many of the major holidays and especially busy for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Overtime hours are required during these holiday periods and will include working on Sunday. We prefer staff that are bilingual English-Spanish speaking and are very responsible and reliable. You will be on your feet all day. Must be able to lift about 30 pounds. We are also looking for employees that can lift 60 pounds, however, most boxes weigh in the 20-pound range. The work area is often very cool 35 to 50 degrees. You must be able to follow instructions and make bouquets to specifications. Experience preferred. The positions we have available are NOT temporary. We offer above-average pay and need full-time and part-time employees that will stay.
