Join us for a "spirited" evening celebrating 100 years of the Kiwanis Club of Beckley helping the children of Raleigh County. For 100 years, the Kiwanis Club of Beckley has been helping the children of Raleigh County and the surrounding areas. Join us on October 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. for an evening of celebration, fundraising and ghost stories. Our featured entertainer is Scott Worley of Haunted Beckley, who will be sharing storings of hauntings of Black Knight Country Club, the City of Beckley and of course, the Kiwanis Club of Beckley. The Kiwanis Club of Beckley has been in existence since the mid-1920's. Our mission is to serve the children in Raleigh County and the surrounding areas. Through-out the year, we participate in many service projects in the hopes of brightening a child's life. Just a few of our projects include: KickItAgain (collection and distribution of new and/or gently used soccer equipment); K-Family Christmas (our partnership with DHHR to treat 20 children between the ages of 12 and 17 to a morning of Christmas shopping); toy chest at Raleigh General Hospital (a selection of toys, books, puzzles and more for children in the hospital or waiting for a family member of sibling that is in the hospital), sponsorship of the Key Clubs at the 4 area High Schools; as well as many others, including our most popular, The Mike Hunt and Phil McDaniel Memorial Pancake Day, which is held every September.
