This energizing introductory workshop will give you the skills to confidently tackle tough problems using the design thinking process. Design thinking empowers practitioners to approach challenges first through the lens of our target audience and their unmet needs. It is a creative, iterative process that is especially useful for addressing complex problems and identifying innovative solutions. She is dedicated to positively impacting and connecting the world through sustainable business, community engagement, and international education. Her professional experiences span industries and include sustainability strategy, corporate and foundation relations, diversity and inclusion, design thinking / innovation, marketing, sales, global supply chain management, and international education, with one common goal: connecting people, organizations, and the community toward common objectives. She completed the Stanford design thinking executive education program as part of launching Michelin’s Customer Innovation Lab and is excited to combine this with her passion for community development in Northern Michigan and beyond. Nick Beadleston is Founding Partner of Good Impacts. His raison d'etre is to support those businesses and industries which are awakening to their incalculable potential for social and environmental good, and as a result, are pivoting toward service and sustainability as the new metrics of profitability.
