Description
I have a 2 year old cat that I simply cannot continue to care for. She is incredibly sweet, although she is very shy. The issue is that I have not been able to get her to pee in the litter box. I've tried everything: Multiple boxes, different types of litter, different locations for the boxes. She's on a medicated food for minor crystals, although the doc said if it weren't for the urinating issue, she wouldn't have prescribed it, as it's not serious.
I have another cat and while they get along great, I'm not sure if my other cat had intimidated her at the box initially and she's just grown into this bad habit.
If I lived in a less populated area, I'd have her as a mainly outdoor cat but I don't want to risk her being hit by a car or worse. I've tried, with no luck, to return her to the shelter from whence she came, or to get her into another shelter.
I can't keep cleaning up pee everywhere and continuing to allow her to ruin my home. If anyone is in need of a barn cat or if you'd like to take a chance on her, please reach out. It may just be that she needs to be an only kitty, I simply don't know.
I've had her since Jan so it's not as if I haven't invested time into trying to remedy the issue.
