OVERVIEW The Operations + Inventory Manager will be a key fixture and problem-solver extraordinaire at our Jersey City Warehouse, providing operational/administrative support, and working closely with Management, design teams + warehouse crew to guarantee the organization, efficiency + execution of all processes related to our core business - home staging. We are a bi-coastal home staging + design firm. Maintaining critical awareness of product whereabouts as it moves inbound and outbound between vendors, the warehouse and the field, this position is a partner with the buyer, the warehouse crew, project managers, movers and the stagers. The goal is to increase the efficiency of our processes, inventory, scheduling, and communication. COMMUNICATION + ACCOUNTABILITY -Work hand-in-hand with management team, stagers + warehouse crew to facilitate error-free staging installations/breakdowns -Managing + delegating tasks/projects as needed to warehouse crew -Liaise with Jersey City Management Team USE OF INVENTORY + SYSTEMS -Be the SME (subject matter expert) for MyDarby. -Semi-annual (each season) Inventory reconciliation: identify key categories at the end of each season to take an accurate account of product on hand, and adjust the numbers accordingly with inventory system - Coordinate cleaning, repair or re-purpose of inventory/artwork when possible. - Assist with Consignment, Sale and Donation of items - Manage repurposing, repairs + cleaning of items RECEIVING - Manage all orders via Trello; Use Trello as the main communication vehicle for tracking + receiving product - Schedule and track inbound shipments and communicate ETA to relevant parties - Schedule support for receiving + barcoding if needed - Receive and Inspect shipments for carton damage, and verify parcel quantity on receiving - Receive product into Inventory System and manage barcoding system and product locations - Communicate to buyer + inventory manager any damage claims if needed. WAREHOUSE ORGANIZATION/ADMIN - Own the organizational procedures for all Warehouse systems and protocols - Maintain office space, furniture, soft goods, pillows, accessories artwork and lamps organized - Responsible for making sure all bedding and towels rugs are Laundered/cleaned as needed. - Point person for ordering staging and warehouse supplies and Covid disinfecting supplies and procedures - Minimize costs, waste, and carbon footprint STAGINGS + BREAKDOWNS - Organize and Identify product to be tagged for stagings - Check items going out and coming it with components - Check and receive items into Inventory System PURGING OF INVENTORY - Follow procedure for selling, consigning and donating old, dated inventory. - Track and manage in Inventory System - Reconcile invoices from consignment sales. - Lead any warehouse sale efforts, permits, marketing, staffing, etc. SYSTEMS - Label /number racking by product and category - Enter Racking item location in the Inventory tag section - Receiving Damage/Repair Logs to be maintained -Accessories, bedding, pillow, lighting, artwork furniture inventory labelled and organization SCHEDULING - Warehouse Staffing Needs - Garbage and Recycling Solutions - Consignment times (July/Nov) REPORTS - warehouse report - petty cash report - staging report -consignment report - damage/repair/clean report SAFETY - Prepare all OSHA documentation required - Check fire extinguishers - Schedule safety meetings Please apply through this posting with "Your name + NJ WH/OPS Manager" in the subject line *and* here:
