Join us for an evening of fundraising and hearing the amazing things Colorado Animal Protectors are doing! On Saturday, October 2, 2021, Colorado Voters for Animals will be sponsoring its annual Laws for Paws Award Event that recognizes Colorado lawmakers that have contributed to animal welfare and protection. This event is for the benefit of Colorado Animal Protectors, which works to educate policymakers and the public on issues of animal welfare involving Colorado’s companion animals, livestock, and wildlife. This year’s Laws for Paws recipients are Sen. Rachael Zenzinger and Reps. Monica Duran and Matt Soper. The event will take place at the at the Scottish Rite Event Center, 1350 Grant Avenue (adjacent to the State Capitol). The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, food, a silent auction and of course the awards ceremony. Founded in 1999, Colorado Voters for Animals represents over 40,000 Coloradans working legislatively to improve animal welfare. Colorado Animal Protectors provides public education on existing animal laws and promoted humane education. Colorado Animal Protectors is also a partner with Crime Stoppers, contributing towards rewards leading to the arrest of those who have abused animal.
