Live Edge Coffee Table - A Two Saturday Workshop @The Foundry Saturday, November 13, 2pm -5pm & Saturday, November 20, 2pm -5pm Come join Foundry instructor and board member Russ Reinagel for a two day workshop building a Live Edge Coffee Table in The Foundry's Woodshop. This two-Saturday workshop is the perfect way to gain some experience and improve your woodworking skills. Because the wood is a live edge slab cut and dried on site there's a variation in sizes and varieties. Attendees will have a choice of oak, maple and walnut slabs. The table will be complemented with a choice of angled or square metal legs and participants will finish their tables with a clear waterborne finish. When completed your table dimensions should be approximately 46 L x 14 W x 16 H. This class will cover: Project layout and measurementUsing different blades and cutting toolsCreating and using a jigDebarking and planing woodFinishing woodClass Cost: $400 (materials and metal legs included.) Class Size: Min 4/Max 6 This class needs to meet the minimum enrollment in order to run. Participants will be notified of the status of class the Monday prior to the first session. In case of cancellation, participants can choose another scheduled date if available or request a refund. Ages: 18+ A NOTE ABOUT COVID -19 The CDC recommends that individuals who are not fully vaccinated continue to wear a mask and maintain physical distance. This means that vaccinated individuals will be allowed to be unmasked in the building if they so choose. Please be supportive of everyone's right to choose what they are most comfortable with.
