Caitlin Cannon & Darling Revival UNDER 21 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN Caitlin Cannon, Darling Revival Caitlin Cannon & Darling Revival team up for a co-headline show with Special Guest Alice Wallace! CAITLIN CANNON Caitlin Cannon’s new music, a collection titled The TrashCannon Album, finds clever wordplay tackling what Caitlin calls the “inner garbage” we all have, but tend to hide away. Throughout its twelve tracks, Cannon shines a light on hard truths –a batch of songs that confronts alcoholism and addiction, dishonesty in relationships, the divisive effects of class structure, economic injustice and difficult family situations. It sounds like it might be a heavy record -- and it’s true, Caitlin does dive deep into what she’s saying -- but it’s also arranged in such a way that she makes sure you know she’s more than a few steps ahead. Working with producer Megan Burtt, who challenged Caitlin to write one song a week in 2018, resulted in Caitlin pulling together honest songs that formed a cohesive record. “Megan and I were discussing the creative standstill I was experiencing,” Caitlin says. “We combed through a collection of songs that I had orphaned and started mapping out the album. I joked it should be called TrashCannon while Megs suggested the drummer play trash can lids instead of cymbals.” In these songs “I’m repurposing the inner trash,” she says, “and I’m almost always looking for the joke.” DARLING REVIVAL Formerly, Dearling, the new band has expanded its roster, adding Mark Groutas, previously a Nashville player, and opening up to keys and fiddle players from around Colorado. With country, folk, rock originals and a set list that could easily entertain any 4-hour wedding reception, the band has a bigger bandwidth and more versatile sound than ever. The core of the band is the Rachel and Dave duo. Dave Preston’s musical background is as varied and impressive as his skill with a guitar. He has played with: Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris, Charlie Sexton, Kelly Clarkson, The Freddy Jones Band, Emerson Hart, Keaton Simons, Tony Lucca, One Eskimo, Trace Bundy, Tab Benoit, and Gregory Alan Isakov to name a few. Dave currently travels the world playing with Jake Shimabukuro. RachelA’s songs have been used by Tyler Ward, Elise Lieberth, Jess Moskaluke and have had dozens of placements in television and advertising. Her songs and voice helped propel an earlier version of the band to win Ford’s Gimme the Gig II, beating out 2500 other bands from across the nation and winning her recording time with Don Was. Her soulful and versatile voice delivers a vibrant, pitch perfect performance every time. The duo, trio and full band version have graced every size of stage and played to every kind of event. These are top-notch players who know how to love on a crowd and also bring the party Caitlin Cannon, Darling Revival
