Please join us for a free NARCAN training and Resource Fair as part of the Islip Goes Purple initiative Outreach will be providing a NARCAN training at 7pm. This training is designed for non-traditional responders and includes recognition of opioid overdose, administration of intra-nasal NARCAN, and steps to take until EMS arrives. Participants will receive an authorization card and NARCAN kit, at no cost. Supplies are limited and must be reserved. Resource tables from local prevention and treatment providers, support groups, medical services, and mental health organizations will be on hand to provide educational materials and information.
