Ready to test your balance, push your limits and fly?!?! Whether you are curious (or fearful) about arm balancing or if you are already balancing on your hands, come build and refine your skills to take your practice to a new level. If you can support a healthy plank pose or chaturanga, you are ready to explore the joy of arm balancing. Find the strength, range of motion, and mental focus necessary to take flight. We’ll begin each session with a fun and vigorous 30 minute Vinyasa class emphasizing the 3 essentials for flight: Core, Open Shoulders and Balance. For the remainder of each session, we will explore arm balances in deeper detail. We will spend time breaking down the mechanics, with and without the use of props. You will come away with a variety of techniques that can be woven into future practices as well as ideas for home practice and strength building. Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, sweat towel and bolster or firm pillow. This class is meant to be progressive with homework/practice for the week between, however a drop in would still be beneficial to learning new skills.
