This FREE program provides Kane County kids with the tools needed to be prepared for, respond to, and recover from a disaster.
The Kane County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Management is now offering a no-cost Youth Preparedness program designed to provide kids of Kane County an insight and understanding of how to be prepared for, respond to, and recover from a disaster. This one-day program will help youth become familiar with different types of emergencies, communication plans, how to protect yourself, as well as basic first aid. ***Please Note: Three classes are being offered for different age groups, please sign up for proper group.***
The Office of Emergency Management supports a regional all-hazard approach to disaster management and Homeland Security through the coordination of programs that promote community planning, increase public awareness, and develop effective mitigation, response, and recovery capabilities.
