Join us to learn more about the early signs and symptoms of autism, hear personal stories and connect with organizations in the community. Did you know the CDC released a study last year stating the prevalence of autism is the same in all races? Black and brown children are diagnosed with autism much later than white children, usually between the ages of 5-12. Join the founders of Wonderfully Made USA, OUR Gathering Place and Unbound Konnect for this special collaborative event for daycare providers and employees, paraprofessionals, teachers, and parents as we dive into the disparities and barriers of black and brown children being diagnosed earlier and most importantly, recognize the signs and symptoms of autism. Lunch will be provided for those in attendance.
