Enjoy an afternoon of Appalachian-themed entertainment Free event; registration required. Enjoy an afternoon of Appalachian-themed entertainment in the 4th Street Breezeway leading to Footnote and Bookmarks. MUSE Winston-Salem will be hosting a pre-programmed Story Slam followed by thirty minutes of Appalachian music. The second half of the event will feature author Kim Ruehl speaking about her debut book, A Singing Army: Zilphia Horton and the Highlander Folk School. Presented with Support from MUSE Winston-Salem Bookmarks connects readers and authors with events promoting reading, community, and discovery.
