The BayHaven Food & Wine Festival in Charlotte, NC is a three-day celebration of Black Foodways, Oct. 22-24 at Camp North End. The inaugural BayHaven Food & Wine Festival is aimed at raising awareness of our black culinary experts and creating opportunities for newcomers in the hospitality industry. Founders Subrina Collier and Chef Gregory Collier were inspired by the Harlem Renaissance — an intellectual and cultural revival of African American music, dance, art, fashion, literature and theater in the 1920s and 1930s — to create a festival that will educate and entertain. FESTIVAL NONPROFIT PARTNER No child should go hungry in America. But in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, 1 in 6 kids could face hunger. No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. This is a problem we know how to solve. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty. Ten percent of ticket sales to the BayHaven Food & Wine Festival will be donated to No Kid Hungry, up to $7,500. EVENT DISCLAIMERS & PERTINENT INFORMATION Every event will be located at Camp North End property and will remain on the campus. Camp North End and BayHaven will not be responsible for loss of any property or injuries that occur. No outside food or drinks or pets will be permitted for the safety of all guests. EVERY EVENT IS 21+ EXCEPT THE CHUCK WAGON CARNIVAL!!! No kids will be permitted and no refunds will be issued if a ticket for an underage person is purchased for any event except the CHUCK WAGON CARNIVAL! THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENTWe will be practicing any government mandated rules about gatherings and will postpone if instructed to do so by officials due to any pandemic rules. It is the responsibility of the guests to wear mask according to government mandates if they are instructed to do so. In the event there is no mask mandate with vaccination, it is the responsibility of the guest to follow the rules and BayHaven nor Camp North End assume no responsibility. Changes to the lineup may occur before and after release of the names of the chefs and beverage makers. This does not allow for any refunds or discounts. While modifications will not be made specifically, most festival events will feature some vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian dishes; however, this may mean a smaller quantity of food will be available for those with these specific food preferences.
