"The IV Therapy course is intended for professionals who need continuing education to initiate and maintain intravenous therapy in a clinical setting.
The non-accredited course will bring participants up-to-date knowledge and skills in IV therapy. This is a 15-hour class. The course is five three-hour days of training on the theory behind intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal practices and principles. It also includes an extensive clinical practicum in the clinical skills lab setting.
Each student must complete a minimum of twenty-five supervised successful IV placements."
