Description
Press release from the City of Salem:
August 17, 2021
Salem's Recycling Committee is encouraging residents who in previous years have attended or donated to the ever popular free Book Swap held at the Salem Community Life Center to instead share your free books with neighbors curbside in front of your home on Saturday, September 18th between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Books should not be "swapped" i.e. no one should drop off books at another resident's table. Participating residents are not required to be present at their free book table (or box) outside of their residence. As a socially distant community event, masks are required, and participants should follow social distance guidelines by staying 6 feet apart.
Please visit greensalem.com for all the information you need, including details on how to participate, a list of participating addresses, a downloadable flyer to attach to your table or box, and information on where to donate unclaimed books at the end of the day.
To learn more or sign up to participate, please contact: Micaela Guglielmi, [email protected] or 978-619-5672.
