Eat your lunch and learn about Nicholas Winton! Join the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation at the Newnan Carnegie Library for a Lunch and Learn program! Stop by on September 24th at 12pm, bring your lunch, and learn from Lawrence Reed, President Emeritus of the Humphreys Family Senior Fellow and Ron Manners Global, about WW2 veteran Nicholas Winton and his heroic tale of saving the lives of nearly 700 children from Nazi Germany! Lunch not provided by the Newnan Carnegie Library, the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation, or Lawrence Reed. The Carnegie Library is one of the most historically significant structures in downtown Newnan and was built in 1904. The building served as a library until 1987 and is now a honor system library with adult and children's programs.
