LONG VALLEY, NJ — A man is lodged in Morris County's Correctional Facility after being charged with taking items from Target this past Sunday, as well as for his connection to separate significant shoplifting cases. Responding Washington Township Police officers said they received a call this past Sunday evening from Target's loss prevention department about two unidentified men, who security officers in the store said they'd recognized from other incidents there. After police stopped the men as they started to drive away, police say their investigation found that one of the two men was being sought in shoplifting cases in other towns, involving $30,000 worth of missing items. The man is awaiting his court appearance for the shoplifting charges, according to the Washington Township Police Department's news release. Questions or comments about this story? Have a news tip?
