Press release from the City of Sioux Falls: August 16, 2021 Effective Monday, August 16, 2021, Sioux Area Metro will temporarily reduce service due to a shortage of drivers. All fixed routes will move to hourly service on weekdays: Buses will depart from the Downtown Bus Depot every hour with service provided until 8:45 p.m. on weekdays. Route 11 will continue half-hour services from the Southwest Transfer Facility. An updated bus schedule is available on siouxfalls.org/sam. Saturday bus times remain unaffected during the SAM On Demand Service. Sioux Area Metro will resume the normal bus schedule once the driver shortage is resolved.
