Potrero Hill Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A shooting in San Francisco's Potrero Hill on Sunday afternoon left one person dead and officers are now looking for a suspect. According to police, officers arrived at the scene of a shooting around 2:10 p.m. near the intersection of Utah and Alameda streets. There, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced the person dead at the scene, police said. The victim's identity has not yet been released by the city's Medical Examiner's Office. The shooter was able to flee before police arrived. Anyone with information about the fatal shooting is being asked to contact the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
