Township Highway Dept Donates Computers: St. Coletta's Foundation

ORLAND TOWNSHIP, IL — The Orland Township Highway Department has made a generous donation to the St. Coletta's Foundation of Illinois, a nonprofit organization that works with adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. On Aug. 11, Highway Commissioner Antonio Rubino donated three Mac computers and an Apple iPad to the organization, located at 18350 Crossing Drive, Tinley Park. According to the highway department, these computers will be used by the organization's marketing department to help promote the work that goes on at St. Coletta's Foundation. "St. Coletta's Foundation is a wonderful organization that helps so many children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities," Rubino said."You can see the love, knowledge and care these individuals receive from the staff at St. Coletta's. I know these computers will be put to good use." Rubino's Staffer, Patrick O'Brien, praised the highway department commissioner for the effort. "I really enjoy working for commissioner Rubino. The commissioner cares about everyone in the community, and it is evident today as he donates these computers to this outstanding organization." According to the website, St. Coletta's was founded in 1949 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, and provides a lifelong continuum of care beginning in early childhood. The nonprofit's residential, educational and vocational training programs provide services for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities that enhance their independence and well-being, the organization states on its website.
