2021 Forest In Bloom Award Winners Announced

OAK FOREST, IL — The annual "Forest In Bloom Award" winners have been named here in Oak Forest. The award goes to residents, businesses and organizations who take extra steps to beautify their homes and properties through "exceptional landscaping," according to the city. The Forest In Bloom Beautification Awards are presented by the City of Oak Forest Streetscape Commission. The city requested submissions from homes or businesses in town "where pride of ownership really shines through." The city said a nominee must earn 25 points to receive the award. During the awarding process, judges considered the visual appeal of the front yard landscaping, the maintenance of lawn, bushes, shrubs and flower beds; and the use of accessories (gazing balls, fountains, statues, etc.) according to the city. "Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for Forest In Bloom beautification awards. The volunteer judges have started delivering signs to the winners," the city announced.
