Press release from the Los Angeles Police Department: August 12, 2021 Los Angeles: The family of Quin'ye Mitchell and the Los Angeles Police Department's SoutheastArea detectives are asking for the public's help in locating her. Mother (Quanique Taylor later identified as Suspect) and Quincy Mitchell, father of Quin'ye have an ongoing child custody hearing with the Family Court. On August 10, 2021, Quincy and Quanique appeared in family court in attempt to resolve child custody issues. The Court found the minor child in this case Quin'ye Mitchell, an imminent risk of harm in the possession of the mother. The Court awarded temporary sole legal and physical custody of the minor to the father. Immediately after father was awarded custody of Quin'ye, mother walked out of the court to unknown location. Father has not seen his child or mother since the court hearing and does not know their whereabouts. Quincy Mitchell last saw Quin'ye on May7, 2021, in court. Since that date, he has not seen his daughter and Quanique failed to follow court orders Quin'ye Mitchell is described as a 7-year-old female Black with black hair and brown eyes. She stands approximately 3 feet tall and weighs approximately 65 pounds. Quanique Taylor is described as a 27-year-old female Black with pink hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink dress, pink and gold slippers. No vehicle information was provided.
