I'm a vendor in town for Awesome Con at the Walter E Washington Convention Center this weekend. I am seeking two people to help me run my merchandise booth over the weekend. I will be hiring one person for Thursday-Sunday, and a second person for Friday-Sunday. JOB DUTIES Helping setup the booth (Thursday), assisting customers, watching out for shoplifters, processing credit card payments, organizing merchandise, and other similar retail responsibilities. Then on Sunday, we will be breaking down the booth and loading everything into the van. HOURS Thursday, August 19: 10am-2pm (or until setup is complete) Friday, August 20: Noon-8pm Saturday, August 21: 10am-7pm Sunday, August 22: 10am-7:30pm I'm looking for two people that are available to work the entire length of the show. Be warned, there will be a lot of standing, and there are likely to be stretches where we are extremely busy. During breakdown on Sunday there will be some lifting required, but nothing heavier than 50 lbs. Knowledge of geek culture (comics, movies, cartoons, anime and video game) is a plus, but not required. I pay $16/hour cash.
