BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The infamous rivalry between UFC boxer Conor McGregor and former fighter Floyd Mayweather has taken an interesting turn from knockout to knock knock. The two boxers are now living next door to one another in Beverly Hills, the Daily Mail reported.
The 33-year-old McGregor is staying in Beverly Hills as he recovers from a fractured tibia that he received in his match against Dustin Poirier. He's living directly next to the mansion Mayweather bought for $26 million in 2017 — the same year Mayweather clobbered McGregor in his pro-boxing debut.
It was their first and last face-off. McGregor made his pro-boxing debut in the ring and Mayweather momentarily stepped out of his retirement to go head-to-head with the featherweight. In this "Fight of the Century," as it was billed, it was Mayweather who came out on top with a total knock-out in round 10 — much to the dismay of McGregor, who spoke confidently prior to the match. Since their fight, McGregor has repeatedly called for a rematch, though Mayweather has largely declined the request. Today, there is no match in sight between the two titans — though Daily Mail reported that a broken bottle of McGregor's whiskey did find its way just outside of Mayweather's property.
Since settling down in Beverly Hills, McGregor has been photographed relaxing beneath palm trees poolside and hanging out at the Beverly Hills Hotel with Justin Bieber.
Mayweather, 44, owns several multimillion-dollar homes, one being in Beverly Hills and another in Las Vegas. More recently, Mayweather purchased a $18 million Miami mansion to add to his real estate portfolio, reported Maxim.
