To good home a spiky 2 year old friend. Comes with cage, food, Carolina storm wheel (best out there for hedgies!!), house, special hedgehog wash, dietary supplement, leftover bedding, small carrying case. Sally is a very sweet hedgie who is as tame as they can get. You can handle her!!! Has never bitten a soul in her little life. In very good health, only two years old. Handles baths very good, and is trained to have her nails cut easily. Is very worm motivated!! Eats a specific cat food plus supplement spray, and worms as a treat. Also loves turkey or chicken baby food. Please do not respond if you won’t follow these conditions: 1- respect that she is a NOCTURNAL animal so will sleep during the day, do not try to keep her up during the day to play as she will be tired. 2- understand that hedgies do require work! Regular baths, especially foot baths, and nail trimming. 3- understand the dietary needs, don’t give food that is not on the “approved” list. They are insectivores!! So mainly meat and insect based foods. 4- understand that it takes time for them to get to know you. They have to learn your smell, so it won’t be immediate!! A t-shirt that you have worn in the cage for a week usually does the trick. 5- respect that she is an exotic animal, so not as happy to see you as say a puppy. Hedgies are pretty much solitary creatures, so they don’t need a lot of interaction or stimuli from their owners. 6- understand that all of those TikTok videos LIE!! Don’t ever put a hedgie in the water on their back, it freaks them out!!! Don’t try to make a obstacle course especially high up! They have horrible depth perception and call fall and hurt themselves!! Make sure if your doing something cute that it is in best interest in this girl!
