Jam Group starting

Looking to start a jam group with the hope of maybe performing at some point. I am a rhythm guitarist (6 and 12 string), retired with plenty of time, and singer with 8 years of experience. I am interested in many forms of music (folk, rock, etc). Currently getting into Cat Stevens songs but I play and sing a wide diversity also. If you are an aspiring musician and play an instrument and/or sing (any kind of music) lets get together and see if there is any chemistry in the music. You must have some experience, but you don't have to be a recording artist. Also, be local. I have tried this before and got responses from people over 30 miles away and the travel makes the jamming not too often. So let's say you live no more than 20 miles from Folsom or thereabouts. I would like to have some consistency and hopefully this will gel into a performing group some time later maybe? But I am not interested in making money. Just making people happy. And I am not interested in persistent campfire music get togethers. I want to get songs together work on them and make them good and performable. So if this interests you, lets talk about it further.
