Salary: $14-25/hour Job Type: Full-time Number of hires: 3 Schedule: During our busy season: Monday through Friday, typically 7a-5p, or when the job has completed for the day. Overtime hours may be required during season. This is usually March-October, but varies based on the weather. During the winter: Snow removal including shoveling and/or plowing based on need. These hours are on-call based on weather. This is usually November-February, but varies based on the weather. We are looking for responsible and motivated people with or without experience in the landscaping industry. Duties may include mulch, plant and sod installation, landscape maintenance, assisting the tree crew with brush removal and clean up, and installation of edging, pavers, and retaining walls. Because we provide a number of services, flexibility and willingness to learn are important qualities to have in this role. Pay will be based on experience and expected position. We like to promote within, starting as a crew member and learning the trade will put you in a good position to move up too foreman and earn more. Additional Foremen responsibilities: - Communicate well with customers, designers, and crew members - Manage work site by leading, teaching and organizing crew members - Track time and materials used for each job - Be the face and voice of the company at each jobsite with a great attitude, professional appearance and demeanor are required We are a full-service landscaping company, celebrating our 16th year in business. Our services include regular maintenance, plantings, hardscapes, and tree removal and trimming. Qualifications: Required: - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds - Be comfortable working in awkward positions (on knees and/or bent at knees) for several hours at a time and/or walking over rough, uneven terrain - Flexibility and willingness to learn - Experience in the tree trimming/removal industry (groundsmen or climbing) - Ability to perform physical labor, outdoors, 5 days per week, regardless of the temperature - Motivated and hard-working with good attendance and a positive attitude - Foremen: 1-3 years landscape/hardscape installation Preferred: - Valid Driver’s License - Landscape/Hardscape installation experience - Licensed Arborist - Foremen: Previous experience leading a crew Benefits: - Competitive pay based on experience - Performance based bonuses - Annual merit increases - Access to company vehicle for appointments - Health, dental, vision insurance - Matching retirement plan - Paid vacation time and holidays
